Dancing is something that many people love to do, but fewer and fewer people out there are comfortable with letting go and letting the music take over…especially in the performing world. However, this talent has steadily becoming more and more important for performers because now that mass media has taken over, you can’t just be a singer anymore. You can’t just be a model anymore. You can’t just be a dancer or an actor. Now a days you have to prove yourself competent at many talents before many agencies will even look at you.
This is why Sing Studios in Memphis decided to broaden it’s horizons to being a Performance Training Studio. This puts us in the position of being able to help create the type of high quality, well rounded talent that’s needed in the real performance world. Dance classes can be taken most days of the week and private dance instruction is available as well.
There are two main classes I would suggest that young performers in the Memphis, TN area check out and consider. The first would be our Hip Hop Dance Classes which should be taken by anyone who’s interested in modern popular music. No, popular music isn’t all hip hop, but it is edgy and this class will help you become more comfortable moving in a way that’s appropriate to the music. Of course we also offer several different styles of dance as well including technique (ballet), lyrical, tribal, adult fitness, pre-dance and creative movement in addition to the above mentioned classes. There are also acting master classes help on the third Saturday of each month this fall for those who are interested. Finally, as our name might suggest we also offer quality voice lessons at our studio for both children and adults alike… lessons for people who are serious and those looking to take just for fun.
